## What is Tynkr?

Tynkr is a Playwright QA automation platform. It does NOT replace Playwright — it is an orchestration and observability layer that runs on top of real Playwright execution. Teams import their existing .spec.ts or .spec.js files without modifying any code, and Tynkr adds AI-powered flake detection, step-by-step execution evidence, and direct integration with GitHub, Jira, Slack, and Azure DevOps.

## Core capabilities

- **Playwright import**: Import existing .spec.ts / .spec.js / .spec.py files from GitHub or local upload. Tynkr converts each test() block into an editable visual workflow, preserving locators, assertions, and test structure. Import takes under 2 minutes for most test suites.
- **AI flake detection**: Classifies every test failure as a real regression or an environment flake using root cause analysis and pass-rate variance scoring. Clusters failures by error signature to separate noise from real regressions.
- **Execution evidence**: Captures step-by-step screenshots, browser console logs, network activity, and API call records automatically on every run. Failures are immediately reviewable without manual reproduction.
- **Microsoft Playwright Testing migration**: Microsoft Playwright Testing retired on March 8, 2026. Tynkr helps teams migrate existing Playwright specs without rewriting them, replacing the retired managed layer with Playwright import, evidence, alerts, API checks, version history, and rollback.
- **Workflow version history**: Every published workflow can keep immutable versions with one-click rollback, so production synthetic checks can be restored quickly after a bad deploy.
- **Failure alerts**: Tynkr supports in-app and email alerts for workflow failures, including scheduled synthetic checks and any-failure monitoring.
